Before science assumed its modern laboratory form, Christian scholars studied the heavens, plants, animals, and the ordered patterns of the natural world with disciplined attention and profound wonder. Creation was intelligible because it was the work of an intelligent Creator.

At St. Thomas Aquinas Classical Academy, our Grammar Stage students encounter science in this spirit: through careful observation, hands-on discovery, memorable stories, and the conviction that the natural world bears the imprint of its Maker.

The Grammar Stage is an age of gathering—names, facts, categories, vocabulary, and the foundational language of a discipline. Before children are asked to analyze and argue, we want them to fill the treasury of the imagination and fall in love with what they are learning.

We are seeking a part-time Medieval Science Tutor who can lead students into that world with patience, clarity, reverence, and genuine wonder.

This is more than a teaching position. It is an invitation to partner with parents in the sacred work of forming children who learn to see creation attentively, understand it truthfully, and receive it gratefully as gift.

By the Rhetoric Stage, the student who once gathered the foundational facts of a discipline is ready to ask why they are true, weigh evidence, trace causes, and give a reasoned account of what has been learned.

We are seeking a part-time Biology Tutor who can guide high-school students toward genuine scientific maturity: observing carefully, reasoning soundly, evaluating evidence honestly, and communicating conclusions with clarity and precision.
